Radosław Wojtaszek zwyciężył w najsilniejszej grupie Festiwalu Szachowego im. Mieczysława Najdorfa rozgrywanego w Warszawie, Polak uzyskał 6pkt. w 9 pojedynkach, odniósł zwycięstwa m.in z Soćką oraz Sasikiranem. Drugą pozycję wywalczył reprezentant Litwy, Rozentalis, z pewnością istotny wpływ na sukces Litwina odegrało zwycięstwo z Krasenkowem w 8 rundzie. Trzecią lokatę zajął Bartłomiej Macieja, reprezentant warszawskiej Polonii wygrał w turnieju zaledwie jedną partię jednak nie odnotował w turnieju porażki co pozwoliło na osiągnięcie dobrej trzeciej lokaty.
