W dniach 3-13 czerwca 2010 odbyła się w portugalskim mieście Estoril 16-ta olimpiada głuchoniemych w kategorii mężczyzn i kobiet. Na starcie stanęło 17 zespołów męskich i 7 kobiecych. Ale po pierwszej rundzie musiała wycofać się męska drużyna Indii, gdyż nie odpowiadała obowiązującym normom w rywalizacji szachistów niesłyszących. Sukces odniosła reprezentacja Polski, Polacy wywalczyli srebrny medal natomiast Polki zdobyły brązowy krążek! Serdecznie gratulujemy!
